Barrels provide basic fluid storage, they come in various flavors of wood and can be fitted with a lid which allows the barrel to retain its contents while held as an item or in an inventory. Lids can be removed by sneak-right clicking the top of the covered barrel, while clicking the side will pick-up the entire barrel.

Buckets can be used to manually add or remove fluids, as well as bottles when the barrel contains a compatible fluid.

When hit with a spare hand or jumped upon when covered the barrel will make a sound, the pitch will indication if it contains fluid or is empty.

By default either Ovis Atre wool or a vanilla sponge can be used to remove unwanted fluids from a barrel
