Difficulties in communication • Failures in listening • Distance learning • Focus and listening problems Language issues • Language barriers • Communication media failures • Cultural difference Time difference Time difference, the students from different countries collaborate for this assignment and the time zone difference make the students to face huge obstacles to work as a team (for a country it might be night other may be daytime) Personal issues Team members have personal life outside the project. These personal reasons may affect the project in different circumstances. Difficulties in time management Students have many subjects other than this subject. So, to managing the time it can be a big crisis. Doesn’t participate properly Different students have different types of mind sets and egos according to their point of view so working as a team is difficult because they have different types of ideas. Doesn’t participate properly makes so many obstacles when working as a team.
Ground rules: Our team members have some rules such as: • Assume positive intent • Keep to timelines • Respect each and every member of the team • Be quiet and listen when one person is talking at the meeting. • Work as a team • Contribute to every activity individually as possible. • Respect to the agenda • Listen and Respect the Ideas of each team member. • Discuss and solve the problems that can arise when working together. • Every team member should give active involvement in each activity.
