Creating an application - AmeenAhmed/JetFire GitHub Wiki

An application can be created using the jetfire new command like this,

jetfire new app-name

The above command will create the app-name directory in the current path. The app directory has the following structure.

    | |__ assets
    | |__ controllers
    | |__ models
    | |__ views
    | | |_ layouts
    | | |_ applicationLayout.js
    | |__ helpers
    | |_ applicationHelper.js
    |
    |__ config
    | |__ application.js
    | |__ database.js
    | |__ routes.js
    |
    |__ db
    | |__ migrate
    | |__ schemas
    |
    |__ public
        |__ js

        |__ images
        |__ index.html
        |__ 404.html
        |__ 500.html

When a new application is created, it defaults to jade as the template engine. However you can choose the template engine right when you create the application like this,

# choose haml as the template engine
jetpack new app-name -haml

# choose ejs as the template engine
jetpack new ap-name -ejs
