Tracking mode guide

This mode can be opened by clicking on tracking mode on the home screen(Normal mode).

Note: All GUI nodes have tooltips. Hover over any to reveal its intended usage.

Workflow

  1. Choose from the list of tracked folders to list its sessions.
  2. Choose a session to view its results.
  3. You can also view current stats by clicking on view current stats.
  4. Action 3 and 4 will list changes, stats, removed files and added files.
  5. If the changes are significant, click on add session to add a new timestamp. This will update the tracking to newest scan.

How comparison works

Must have more than 2 sessions to compare to another.

When a new session is added, it is compared to base scan(added files, removed files, and stats are computed) and results are saved. To compare a session to another session, simply choose session name from comparison list and it will show its result with added and removed files.

How to stop tracking?

Choose a tracked folder from the list and click on stop tracking button next to it.

How to remove a session?

Choose a session from the scanned session list and click on delete session button next to it.

Other features

  • Whole scan result can be viewed by clicking on view scan list.
  • To save a particular scan result, click on Export scan list to save a file on the desktop.
