• Ascent tutorial August 25th, 2026 9-11am PT as part of LLNL's HPC Tutorial Series

Recent Developments:

• Cyrus: Various bug fixes (typos, type mismatches, etc) and tpl updates
• Cyrus: Added the viz flow graph as an optional output to the 'save_info' action
• Cyrus: Working on passing args to command callback
  • This is based on a user request to access an actions file in their callback
• Nicole: Combined Uniform Grid filter into Sampling filter
• Emily: Added RZ mesh support
• Emily: Working on using JSON schema to verify filters
• Nicole: Working on bringing the reflect transform up to parity with VisIt
• Nicole: Fixed a memory leak where we were creating an extra renderer container with mesh plots

Discussion

• Hank discussed using VisIt as a codebase for a Spring 26 course where he will use AI/ML to debug issues.
