Elder Kings 2 adds a spellcasting system to CK3 using Magicka as a resource. Magic is accessible from the Spellbook by right-clicking on your target, and is split between Spells and Rituals. Spells have an up-front Magicka cost with immediate effects, while Rituals have a monthly Magicka cost for passive modifiers when active.

Spells

  • Some spells come in variations of quality; Petty, Lesser, Common, Greater, and Grand.
  • "(hostile)" spells change opinion of you (not Court Mage) by -30 for 5 years.
  • "(province)" spells affect a County Title rather than a Character.
  • "(province) (hostile)" spells require you to be in the target county (i.e. in an army)
