TX triggers when connecting Radio - AllanGallop/DigiOne GitHub Wiki

Symptom

The transciever enters TX state when the DigiOne+ cable is connected, even when the DigiOne+ is not powered / connected to a computer

Cause

This issue was highlighted by prototype testers, and is not a fault with the DigiOne+ but due to how connectors are being made by the user. In both cases the cause was found to be due to the PTT pin making contact with the shield of connector (miniDin-8) due to oversized solder joints. In one case this issue was not apparent (contiunity test) until the connector was installed into the transciever, presumably the additional mechanical tension of the connector being fitted into the socket.

Resolution

Make sure the correct wire size is used for the connector chosen, install connectors as detailed by the manufacture and insulate each connection
