Symptoms

• Audible noise on audio outputs
• Faint intermittent lighting of status LED
• False PTT triggering

Cause

Electrical noise entering circuit via USB. This has been only reported on laptops when the power supply is connected, further investigation has presented that some switched mode supplies are creating a lot of noise on the vground

Resolution

• Use a good quality shielded USB cable (example)[https://amzn.to/31p5Ylg]
• Add clip-on chokes to power cables (example)[https://amzn.to/2BRgQO1]
• Try alternative power supplies
