Adding the plugin to your spigot server

  1. Download the .jar file
  2. Drop the .jar file into your plugins folder
  3. (Re)start your server
  4. Adding your information to the config.yml (read more below)
  5. Restart your server

How to create a discord bot

  1. Go to this website of Discord and create an application
  2. Open the Bot tab and add a bot

How to add your bot to your server

  1. Go back to General Information and copy your Client ID
  2. Append your bot token to this url and open it in your web-browser. https://discordapp.com/api/oauth2/authorize?scope=bot&client_id=
  3. Select your Server and click Authorize

Adding bot information to config.yml

  1. Go back to the Discord Application website, go to the tab Bot and copy the TOKEN
  2. Go to your plugins/BanToDiscord folder and open the config.yml
  3. Add your token to the field token token: "YOUR_TOKEN"

Select the channels the bot should post to

  1. Open Discord, go to Settings -> Appearance -> Advanced and activate Developer Mode
  2. On your server, right-click on the channel you want the bot to post to and copy the ID
  3. Simply add your id to the field ban-channel and / or kick-channel ban-channel: "YOUR_CHANNEL_ID" kick-channel: "YOUR_CHANNEL_ID"
