End-of-life tire derived product
Description
Due to the presence of carbon black in the rubber of tires (25-30%), rubber granulates always have a black colour. However, their surface can be coloured with different methods:
- coating with a layer of resin, usually polyurethane, which contains a coloured pigment. This can be used to obtain free granulates (example video), or compressed and deposited granulates.
- painting the visible surface of a slab to cover the black colour (example video)
- cover with coloured EPDM granulates the visible surface of a slab (example video)
