Hardware needed
- One or more ElGato light bulb.
- A raspberry pi or a computer with the Hap-Node installed on it.
- (Optional) A USB bluetooth adapter.
This repository includes the libraries and sample files that you need to control one or more ElGato Avea lights directly from your computer or, if you prefer, from any device that can run the node software, like a raspberry pi.
This software is fully compatible with the kodi smart center. It has been tested under a raspberry pi 2 with the OSMC running connected to a Samsung tv. This service does not interferes with the normal behavior of the media center.
This means that, if you already have a raspberry pi with kodi installed on it, then you only have to buy one light and install the software. It uses the bluetooth connection to send the commands to the light. If you have a raspberry pi 3, you dont need the bluetooth adapter. This version of raspberry integrates the Bluetooth in the motherboard.
