In our project, we simulated a standard stoplight/crosswalk procedure by coding our sequence of green and red LEDs in accordance to a script that was activated at the press of a button. As far as figuring out what to code, online resources including the Arduino website and other such pages provided useful information. Basic "if-when" statements were used, but a "while" command was necessary to add as well to ensure a proper loop at reset of the code sequence. We had also specified different lines of code to go off depending on the road or if an emergency vehicle was present. It was an interesting look into how stoplight sequences actually work, and how they are deceptively simple at first glance.
