Mood Analysis

Super Soukoban's mood is humorous in the menus and the cutscenes, but industrial and plain in-game. Being a Japan-only game, we don't hava a lot of concept art besides the official artwork for the game.

The Sprites

The Spritesheet for the playable character is the following one:

Items and Other Objects

The only in-game animations are the ones done by the playable character, so the only useful spritesheet is this one. Most of the other elements aren't really considered sprites, they're "tiles". Even movable objects like the boxes are initially tiles, when they're moving they stop being tiles and are implemented into the player's "moving boxes" sprite, and when the player stops moving the boxes, they become tiles again.

Level Art

In contrast to the happy and colourful official artwork, the actual game has a more desaturated color scheme, with a lot of brown colours. In contrast to all of the brownish red of the scenario, the playable character has a blue look to differenciate himself from the background. You can see this in the following picture, which shows a level in the game. All of the levels use the same tiles without any kind of visual change.
