Part 1 - 3D Topology and Surface
One of the most important things to note in our project is the Topology. Glavenus Surface consist on waves of scales spreading towards the horns only. The Direction of these scales should not matter as long as the Spikes follow a similar direction, the scales direction will rotate when there are multiple spikes around the area.
The spikes will not match the Scales direction in special cases (non spherical design meshes), but the texturing must adapt to try keeping the design logic.

This is very important to know even if the model surface was not prepared for it. Since painting the Mesh following this rule will still give very nice results.

In this Tutorial we will be working with 2 Glavenus Egg models prepared for texturing. One of them has better 3D model details, the other one is simplified.
