J-FOODS

J-Foods is an application in which one can order various foods from the canteen in the University through the use of internet from any place. It overcomes the disadvantage of the traditional queuing system. This System enhances the speed and standardization of taking the order from the customer. J-Foods is an application developed using HTML, JavaScript, and SQL. It provides a better communication platform.

SCOPE:

J-Foods is a web-based application. Its main aim is to simplify and improve the efficiency of the ordering process for both customer and canteen, minimize manual data entry and ensure data accuracy and security during order placement process. Customers will also be able to view product menus and their ingredients and be able to have a visual confirmation that the order was placed correctly. This project can be viewed in various perspectives with different functionalities-

CUSTOMER END:

Customer shall be able to login or skip from registration to enter the menu dashboard. They can be able to view the menu, categories and subcategories involved. They can order food and add to cart or remove the items from cart. They can order item from wallet amount. They can cancel order and cancelled money will be transferred to wallet. They can select the timeslot for taking their order. Customer shall able to give rating. They receive notification for order accepted. They can pay the money online. In order to take the food they can show the receipt of their order and payment.

CANTEEN END:

Canteen shall able to display items from menu. They receive and view orders from customers. It can accept or cancel order. Canteen can view the payment. It will send the acknowledgement as receipt to the customer of the order confirmation, along with payment details and the details related to the timeslot. It can provide offers.

ADMINISTRATION END:

Admin shall be able to Manage users, accounts, providers and can CRUD items for canteen. They manage canteen details and reviews. They can contact the canteen to replace or cancel order if items are not available. They can add promo code/offers.
