It can be created in a Crafting Table, via shaped recipe:

When breaking a block that scythe is effective on, it will break additional such blocks in 3x3x3 area centered around the broken block. Pressing Right-Click on tillable blocks will turn them into farmland within 3x3x1 area.

These effects will not trigger if player is holding Shift, however, allowing to harvest and till individual blocks if it's required.

Etherium Scythe has 3000 points of durability and slightly faster breaking speed, similar to other tools made of Etherium. It's list of effective blocks includes leaves, various plants and crops, making it an effective tool for farming and clearing out large areas of grass (or other plants).

It is also considered one of three etherium tools that are effective as weapons. Etherium Scythe has shortest attack cooldown of them all, but also the lowest damage. Base damage bonuses, like from Strenght effect or Sharpness enchantment will allow to take significant advantage of short attack cooldown, bringing Etherium Scythe to the full extent of it's power. Even without them, though, it can be quick and deadly weapon on it's own.

As weapon, it behaves completely similar to any sword, being able to receive any enchantments a regular sword can have, and inheriting swipe attack.
