Set up
The players all sit in a circle and the moderator hands them each a card. The card could be a werewolf (Team evil) or a villager (Team good). All the players look at their card and make sure not to show it to anyone else. The players are not allowed at anytime to show their card. There are 3 types of setup: open, where what roles that are in the game is known by all players; semi-open, where only limited information is known; and closed, where no information is known.
