Description

This is where everyone in the village declares their role (except for the werewolves and other unsavoury characters, which would try to claim to be someone else to put the village into confusion) in order to narrow down who the werewolves are. This strategy can be especially potent if there are several team good special roles and a smaller villager pool for the werewolves to hide in. (Werewolves usually claim the villager role in games to try to survive for as long as possible since there are more of them than anyone else).

Effectiveness

The effectiveness can vary, since it exposes all the powerful team good to be killed by the werewolves. Sometimes it is used as a last ditch attempt in LyLo, since the danger to team good special roles is acceptable when they might lose the game. This strategy can be potent if there are several protective roles to defend the important team good roles, to allow them to reveal information for longer.
