Compilation - Aigencraft/Iris GitHub Wiki
- Have BuildTools installed, and used it to compile 1.16.5 of Spigot. This pushes the artifact to your local maven repository so it can be used for NMS compilation. -> If you don't know how to do this, then check this guide here: https://www.spigotmc.org/wiki/buildtools/
- Have maven installed on your computer, if you don't know how to do this, then check these Install guide: https://maven.apache.org/install.html, Download link: https://maven.apache.org/download.cgi
Clone/download the Iris repository on your PC(You can download the ZIP or use git clone, it doesn't matter as long as you got the source code located in a folder. You can get it from: https://github.com/VolmitSoftware/Iris
Replace the pom.xml in the root folder of your Iris installation with this one: https://gist.github.com/YourPalJake/3f4c61558f091340a220e8a5f0625185
Delete this folder and Java class: ./src/main/java/com/volmit/iris/nms/v16_2/NMSBinding16_2.java
Edit the INMS.java file located in ./src/main/java/com/volmit/iris/nms/ and replace the contents of that file with this: https://gist.github.com/YourPalJake/b0a7e430b731a9307bf2a49808d28ce0
Make sure you used BuildTools to compile Spigot 1.16.5 since you're gonna need it for the next step.
Open a command line terminal and change your directory to the folder where you got your Iris source code located, and execute the following command: mvn clean package.
If you did everything correctly a folder called /target/ will appear, with 2 jar files. The one without the "original-" at the beginning of the file name, is the one you can place in your plugins directory!
In order to make this setup work I had to remove compatibility for NMS with 1.16.3 or lower, but you can still use this version of the plugin on 1..6.4 & 1.16.5 and it will work just fine.
