Assignment logistics

Do the assignment individually with the Onshape course in one window and your own Onshape document in a second window. For each training you can track your progress using the left sidebar, once you have completed a section submit documentation of the completion on Carmen. You can submit the completion as one upload to Carmen by screenshotting everything included under the "Completed Tab" on your Learner Dashboard

Steps

1. Sign up for Github and learn how to use Github Issues We will use Github issues to share questions and answers and provide an easy mechanisms to share updates with the whole class. You can use it to share that you are stuck on a step in the assignment and ask for help from other students, the TA, and the instructors.
   • Sign up using this link.
   • Modify your profile to include your name
   • Create either a fake issue, a real issue, or provide an answer to an existing issue on the SWOT Github website.
   • Watch the repository so you will be notified when classmates or instructors post issues.
2. Sign up for Onshape! Sign up using this link which will give you an education account. If you already have an Onshape account through your .edu email, you can still complete this form. Your free account will remain free and be upgraded to an education account.

     • You may skip the last section: 04. Creating Draft, Shell, and Rib Features
   • Multi-Part Part Studios
   • Document History and Versions
     • You only need to skim the exercise in this training as we will not be using assemblies for our designs
