PGA: Program Global Area
For every user who connects to database they have a dedicated PGA. PGA is Program Global Area. In PGA there is the hash code and session variable of that user. Its the memory used by that single server process. place where the database do the aggregration performed by an user. from there the result goes to database buffer cache.
UGA: User Global Area
If there is a dedicated server process for each user the UGA will separate from PGA. The process information will be stored inside PGA. If there is s shared sever process (there can be, industries sometimes use it for cost cutting) the UGA and PGA will be same. The process information will be stored inside UGA.
