Sprint 1 – Validate - AgileBusinessAnalysis/01_TEAM GitHub Wiki
Approach
After the mobile prototype was built in the group, each group member had the task to validate the prototype with potential users of the solution. This was easily doable due to the fact the prototype can be accessed over a link or QR code visible in the previous section.
Feedback
Feedback of the prototype was generally of positive nature. The following points to improve were mentioned:
- General design is not really attractive
- It is not clear what happens with the data
- More answer possibilities would be better (or more broad answer possibilities, e.g. instead of "1 time/week" as the lowest, use "less than 2 times/week")
- Various questions are not that clear ("How often do you do activities together?" what is considered an activity? sleeping? talking? watching a movie?)
- For some questions it is not clear what the purpose of them is with regard to a healthy relationship ("How often do you see each other's friends?" what if only one side sees the others friends/family? is that still as healthy as if both sides would?)
- Option to not answer a question (what if the user does not want to answer a certain question? if the question is too personal?)
- How did you like it?: It really appealed to me. There is not a lot of extras and I like the simplicity of it.; not bad, the dropdown is a bit annoying.; good.
- Do you see the purpose behind such an app? I see the idea, but I'm not sure if I would use it. Because there isn't something like a reminder. But maybe with the connection to the recommendation, there will be.; Yes and no. Maybe it could be connected to something else. Like a dating app/holistic love app. I think it is unclear what these tips depend on. It would be great to standardise the status of the relationship. Like, your relationship is such and such...; yes, this could support some couples.
- Could you imagine using it? Yes, if I had problems in my relationship, kind of as a first help.; maybe, I would definitely try it.
- How did you feel while using it? I thought there could be more questions about my personal character. In addition, maybe the questions are sometimes a bit unclear. Like the word "activity" everybody can interpret differently, therefore it would be great if you can comment on what you mean behind the word.; dropdown was annoying.; good, I could go through the question without much work.
- Do you think it might help your relationship? If the outcome is connected with a deadline/due date, maybe it would bind you. In addition, the possibility to use it as THE couple, it shifts the idea and willingness from one person to both.; we do these kinds of things already, so at this stage, no.; no, not at the current relationship stage.
- If the app really delivers value, would you pay for it? Maybe, but at this stage, I can't tell.; no, I generally don't like to pay for apps.; Maybe, I would consider it.
- What about the page design? As mentioned the simplicity is great, but I'm sure there are some final touches that can be done.; a bit sterile.; it's clear and structured, could be more appealing.
- What about the questions? Not too personal, actually quite suitable.; Questions are clearly phrased and they are suitable.
- Final feedback: there is potential but I was asking myself, why would I do the registration? What do you want to do with the data? Is there a community or just a sign on and some questions?; I really like the idea, however, probably not for couples who are in real trouble but if you don't know what activities to do together. For me, it would be a great way to find new activities to do with my partner - it would be cool to be able to answer some questions like "what would you like to do" and to then get recommendations in your city/area.
Impressions
The following are some impressions of the validating phase of the first mobile prototype version.
