Roles and Functions - AgileBusinessAnalysis/01_TEAM GitHub Wiki

We have planned our business analysis project in an agile manner. It is organised in three iterations following the Google Design Sprint approach.

We defined the following roles in order to conduct this project efficiently:

Product Owner

Product Owner is the person with the most close observation or experience with the problem at hand. S/he is responsible for defining the product backlog and prioritising the backlog, however these activities were also carried out by the entire team together in weekly meetings. The PO is also responsible for the risk assessment and management of process, tasks and changes. Due to the limited time of this project, risk management has a lower priority. Furthermore, the PO has also the responsibility to validate together with the assignee if a specific task really has been finished as soon as it is moved to the Trello column "Done".

Scrum Master

The primary role of a Scrum Master is to ensure that the team adheres to the sprint plan and processes. S/he facilitates the meetings and collaboration among the team. In addition, part of the role is procuring stationery for collaboration sessions, recording notes in discussions with the stakeholders and keeping project documentation in order.

Customer Representative

Customer Representatives gather concerns from the customers and facilitate the evaluation of prototypes. They bring the gathered input back to the team for planning next steps.

Designer/Developer

The prospective solution to this problem is an App. It requires plenty of design work in order to visualise ideas, evaluate them with the customers and improvise. We aim to design / develop a running prototype to be evaluated by the stakeholders within each sprint. Designing in our project includes drawing the prototypes on paper as well as creating the wire frames using software.

Content Creator

The app is based on certain information that must be collected from the user and subsequent tips and advice that are provided to the user. Creating all this content and adapting it with each sprint was also recognised as an active role in this project.
