Hi all. This page will be dedicated to everything that can be interacted with the character, whether that being objects that are stuck in place such as a door, or, an item you can pick up such as a kay. Everything will be sectioned out so everyone can see what is needed, everything will be on the mega sheet for people to tick off when the artists have made the assets. All assets will be labelled for any specifics (Dirty, broken, worn down) otherwise if nothing is labelled, it will most likely be a generic prop.
Other props will also be here for the environment and design of the level, such as books, medical equipment, Tools, and more.
Here is some general information on the demons and what sort of equipment would be use in an exorcism and the rituals:
Beelzebub, Mammon, and Leviathan
Exorcisms are ritualistic practices performed in various religious traditions to expel or drive away evil spirits, demons, or malevolent entities. The specific methods and prayers used can vary widely depending on the religious beliefs and traditions of the practitioner. In Christianity, exorcisms are typically associated with the Catholic Church, but other Christian denominations may also perform them. When dealing with specific demonic entities like Beelzebub, Mammon, and Leviathan, practitioners would likely follow established exorcism rituals found in their religious texts or traditions. Here's a general overview based on Christian practices:
Beelzebub:
- • Beelzebub is one of the highest-ranking demons in Christian beliefs.
- • An exorcism of this would involve invoking the power of God, would be done with exorcism prayers or Lord’s payers.
- • The ritual can use the sign of the cross, holy water, and blessed oil.
INSECT RELATED SYMBOLS
Mammon:
- • Mammon is known for the love of money and material wealth.
- • The rituals that are done involve the prays that go against greed and temptations of materialism.
- • Items that can be used are symbols of wealth like gold or currency symbols.
WEALTH AND MATERIALISM SYMBOLS
Leviathan:
- • The demon is associated with the sea and chaos from the biblical traditions.
- • Exorcising this demon may contain praying for the restoration of order and casting of chaotic influences.
- • The use of items are Symbols of authority, such as crosses or religious artefacts that control over the spiritual realm.
SEA-RELATED ELEMENTS AND CHAOS SYMBOLS
All rituals use the following items as well:

- • Religious Symbols
- • Payer Books or Scriptures
- • Candles
- • Sacramentals
- • Incense
It's important to note that beliefs and practices surrounding exorcisms can vary significantly among different religious traditions. Additionally, not all Christian denominations perform exorcisms, and some may approach spiritual warfare and demonic influence in different ways. The effectiveness of an exorcism is believed to come from the spiritual authority of the practitioner, the power of prayer, and the divine intervention sought. The items used are considered tools and symbols within the context of the religious tradition, helping to focus the practitioner's intention and faith.

Jug | Used for chucking over onto the demon to deter it from chasing you for a few seconds |
Die | A 50/50 chance of a positive effect or a negative effect to stop a chance or completely doom you |

Interactable props will be categorised based on their significance to the game and to the player.

End the game after the exorcism is completed.

Players should be able to place any item into the exorcism regardless of succeeding or failing.

When it fails, this should not activate any new scene yet.

If completed correctly for the demon, this should end the game with a screen confirming this and going back to the menu (Main game loop done, UI will be made by others).
Consuming noise.

When the player has used an item, there needs to be an audio que for when this happens (The generic sound will be implemented from the design team)
Throwing holy water.

Have the player be able to throw the holy water in the direction they are facing.
Holy water, to indicate which one is possessed by a demon.

Have a station outside the patients’ door where the holy water can be place (Could also be the floor if no station has been made)

The holy water then needs to be able to leave the player's inventory to be placed into this new slot next to the patient’s door.

When a rage mode activates, the holy water outside the patient that has the demon possessing them should fall over or smash.
Randomizing the items that are for the effects the player consumes.

Each time the game loads, the items that give the effects should be rotated in their own cycle, so it is never the same for each game.

The effects the items give will not be a set property, so getting the same effect as a previous item should be possible.

There will be many of these items dotted around the map, designers will do the placements.
What should be an extra effect that can balance:

Speed Up: While the character has the speed increased to run away from any danger, the players camera could vibrate a ridiculous amount to unstable the player while they navigate around the map. Speed of the character – Should be 1.2x faster than the normal running speed. How long the speed up lasts – For 5 seconds. How fast the vibration should be – enough to distort the vision for the player, but slow enough for them to still make out objects. How long the vibration lasts – For 7 seconds.

Slow Down: While in a slower state, a little bit of help for the player could be to brighten up the screen a little to see if there is anything they have missed was around the player. How much does it slow the player down by? 1.5x slower than the normal walk. How long the slow down lasts – For 7 seconds. How long the screen brightness should be – For 7 seconds.

Stop Movement is this can literally get you killed instantly; we will also slow down the movement of the demon for this to give some chance of getting away. How long should the character be stopped – For 7 seconds. How long is the demon slowed down – For 9 seconds.

End rage. This stops the current event of a rage that has recently started.

Dimming the light: The light the player can see will be completely dimmed for a few seconds.
Jug for the holy water:
- Make the station for the holy water.
- Have a new item that will be a standard water jug the player will be able to refill.
- When used on the water stand, decreases how much water is in the water stand.
- Then when the jug has been filled, they will be able to throw the water on the demon to make it run away for about 2 seconds.
- Have this alter refresh the amount of water it has every time the player goes to the next round.
Die idea: A new item being a singular die that the player would be able to use, this die would be a last-minute ditch that the player can make when being chased to either be able to escape or not.
- A roll between 1-3: Changes the screen red, heartbeat plays, nearly slows down player to a stop.
- A roll between 4-6: Ends the current chase by teleporting the demon to a random location on the map, light flash of the screen to symbols they are safe.
