Glass of Holy Water

This item serves to allow the player to figure out which patient is possessed. It will be a glass of holy water that you can place outside of any patients room, and will sit their until the next rage mode. If the room belonged to the possessed patient, then the glass of water will be knocked over, or burned in some way, whereas if the patient wasn't possessed, then the glass will still be upright.

This, in many ways, takes from the previous idea that you could deduce who the possessed patient was by checking the rooms when the demon is raging, as that room would be empty, but this safer alternative makes it a more palatable method of possession detection, for even the most nervous of players, although it's simplicity comes at a cost. This would be an item that would come at a high price, and would only be usable once an hour, so if the player plans to use this on every patients room, it will take at least 4 rounds, and would restrict other purchases. As such, seeing patients pray, to eliminate them from your enquiries becomes a much more useful sight. Furthermore, checking a few rooms during a rage massively cuts down on costs.

Another potential balance would be to limit the players supply of holy water in general, so they have to ration it out. Using some to detect the possessed patient is all very well and good, but it means you have less holy water to throw later on, so it might not be worth it. While this balance is an option, it would need more collaboration from other departments before it could be discussed, as this would be a game mechanic in it's own right.
