Overview

Main Hall

Floor Plan

The first thing we did was create a basic floor plan and a mood board. The floor plan was simple enough for the main hall. A rectangle shaped hall with pews, a stage, steps to the stage with an altar and an organ. As well as this an upstairs balcony.

The church will then have 2 hallways, one at the top left of the stage that is open and is an open hallway, which is usually only accessed by the nuns and priest, whereas the second path has a door as it is halfway down the church showing that the hallway is not supposed to be accessible by the general crowd that goes to the chapel.

As well on the right-hand wall there is the entrance for the study which is directly halfway down the chapel and a line of pews which makes it clear there is a room there and that it is accessible to the public.

The Pews don’t have much space in between the two; this stops the player from having too much free space to easily roam around when in the main hall. This means the path to the safe room (the study) is not an easy straight line to get too.

Study

Floor Plan

The study is a small room that is considered the safe room. It has a few windows, a desk and a bed. The room is only a cube. The main part of the room is the spawn of the player and to end the hour. As well the room has the computer. The layout of the room should be simple and comforting. This is done by making it a basic and open space so that the player does not feel claustrophobic and can relax
