Space exploration has often been the impetus behind the creation of everyday technology most people take for granted, especially in the world of sports. From heat shields to protect NASCAR drivers to liquid metal filled bats, space age technology has played a vital and defining role. But these contributions were blown away with the invention of artificial gravity; and despite efforts to keep this new creation a secret, it inevitably leaked out. The entertainment world exploded. MultiG sports became the most popular pasttime in history. Never before had events been so exciting – or so dangerous. The number of fatalities reached an all time high. In response, the world governments, in an unprecedented show of international cooperation, created the Global Recreational Institute of Technology (GRIT). Free from the intrigues of global politics, GRIT developed advanced technologies to protect the world’s athletes. However, one game consistently resisted their attempts to prevent fatalities regardless of how much protection the players wore. The solution: a direct brain interface to control a new series of drone racers. While neural burnout occasionally left drivers in vegetative states, the number of fatalities dropped to zero. GRIT declared the program a complete success and the game reached near mythic status.

Two-Wheel Physics Argument Solution

There is a spinning gyroscope within the interior of the body which keeps the body’s rigid and upright.

As modern sports became mundane and lost their appeal to the general population, people demanded more intense and challenging games to entertain themselves with. In response to this, the governments of the world came together to create the Global Sports (Initiative/Authority/Guild). Exempt from global politics, the GS(I?A?G?) began to develop technologies that allowed them to create exciting, death defying games to entertain the masses. One such game, (game name), rose to popularity in record time. In it, one team controls a racer and attempts to avoid obstacles put up by the other team. In addition, the driver must attempt to collect as many tokens as possible while using his intuition to deal with the gravity being literally turned on its head by the other team at random.

In the not too distant future, car racing took on new aspects as humanity discovers methods to bend gravity to its will. Race fatalities skyrocketed. In response, the governments of the world, in an unprecedented display of international cooperation, banded together and created the Global Racing Initiative Team. Freed from the intrigues of global politics, GRIT rapidly developed advanced technologies in direct brain interfacing and put it to use in the games. Now with drivers safely ensconced in a pods designed to transmit instructions directly the racing drones, the games were able to take on a new element of challenge and danger. Maneuvers never before possible with manned cars became the everyday bread and butter of racing leagues the world over. The newest event, a race called (place game name here), made maximum use of the new gravitation tech while relying on a driver’s intuition to keep his car out of harm’s way. But there’s a catch, instead of competing against another driver, the entire environment of the track is at the mercy of the driver’s opponent. Obstacles, traps and even gravity itself is under the control of your competitor. Collect as many tokens as possible before your drone succumbs to the wiles of the other player. Then switch roles and wreak your sweet, sweet revenge...

A Brief History of the Game Draft 0.1 (CC)

The two warring nation states of (A) and (B) spent centuries shedding the blood of each other’s citizens. Eventually, weary of burying the friends and loved ones, the populace of each nation rebelled and demanded a change. Many ideas were brought forth and some took root for awhile, but none satisfied everyone for very long. This is the story of one iteration of these ideas in which each nation controls certain aspects of a great race. To the winner goes the glory of conquest, the loser having to pay tribute to the other until the next great game. Through the many different iterations of what has become a yearly ritual combat, technologies have evolved that have actually given each side almost complete control over the environment of the gaming grounds. Within the Great Race gravity is just another tool to be used against the ancient enemy. Within the game, one nation controls a vehicle and the other nation controls the gravity and obstacles through which the vehicle must dodge, weave or jump. But watch out, the other team is out for blood YOURS! Either survive or stop the enemy for the glory of your nation or fail and spend the rest of your days in disgrace.
