Scripts & Tweaks - Aelforth/Keepsake_DF GitHub Wiki
These scripts will run on every map unless you disable them in the onMapLoad_Keepsake.init file in your Dwarf Fortress directory:
Starving Dead
- Undead will no longer eat your fps. After existing for 1 month, undead creatures will begin to starve, collapsing after an additional 7 months (8 months total) and no longer being capable of reanimation. But be wary.. Undead afflicted with this insatiable hunger become even more ravenous, increasing in strength, speed, and toughness until their limbs can finally no longer support the curse. If you are besieged by these wailing ghouls, either deal with them at once or prepare to settle in for two long seasons. Hope you weren't relying on that Trade Caravan any time soon..
Deteriorate Clothes
- Any old clothing left lying around, and already significantly damaged, will quickly fall apart. Does not affect armor or stockpiled items. Items will not deteriorate if less than XdamagedX, so your xWool Left Sockx is still useable by that new fisherdwarf desperate for warm feet.
Deteriorate Corpses
- An FPS aid more than anything. Does make huge bone stockpiles difficult to maintain, but think of it as the bones themselves becoming too old and brittle for proper treating. Any corpses or body parts decay after certain amounts of time. Body parts will turn to dust after about four months, while corpses will disappear after about a year.
Deteriorate Food
- Another FPS aid. Dwarves prefer their food fresh, and will toss anything that gets too old. Seeds are immune, so plant only what you intend to use. Managers are your friend! Foodstuffs will disappear after about four months.
These tweaks have been enabled (Located in the same file):
