Metals Overview
Metals
-
Tungsten: A very dense, hard, brittle metal. Great for blunt weapons, terrible for armor due to its weight and inability to deform against hits.
-
Dwarven Steel: An alloy of Steel, Nickel and Wolframite. Considered a late-midgame material, combines molten Steel with powdered Wolframite (itself primarily a magnanese-tungsten mix) through nickel sintering to create a strong, durable metal alloy. Harder and more capable of holding an edge than Steel, with more toughness than Tungsten alone (at the cost of some density, and thus weight) Dwarven Steel proves more capable in all but its component's most niche uses.
-
Mithril: A fabled material. Incredibly light, yet tougher than steel, Mithril proves second to none for a legendary armor-smith. Blades made of this material are incredibly sharp, and goods of this material are highly sought-after by all.
Ores
- Wolframite: an iron/tungsten ore. Can be smelted into Tungsten normally, or turned into Dwarven Steel at the Dwarven Smelter (a steel-tier workshop used in the mid-endgame for refining ores and producing Dwarven Steel).
*Notes: Mithril and Tungsten values based off MWDF values and modified for balancing to KSDF.
