Overview
In this section, we'll create an in app message to target users based on their location. Specifically, we'll send the in app message to the users who are going to the bar. Please note, the underlying assumption is that your app already has the permission to use location services and you are just passing them on to AMS for track calls.
Setup
Implementation Steps
- Under the AUDIENCE tab:
- Set Trigger for summit year:
- First Dropdown: Type "summit.year"
- Second Dropdown: "equals" under TEXT
- Third Dropdown: Type "2017"
- Set Trigger for Location
- First Dropdown: Type "a.loc.poi"
- Second Dropdown: "equals" under TEXT
- Third Dropdown: "Bar"
- Under the EXPERIENCE tab:
- Name โ "Welcome to the Bar In-App Message"
- Message Type โ Select the second option. It should say "Alert" right below it.
- Text
- Header: "Welcome to the Bar!"
- Content: "Donโt you have a lab or session you should be attending?"
- Buttons
- Click-Through Button: Type "Yes"
- Cancel Button: "Maybe"
- Click the Save & Activate button
