Latin for Sun Sword, the Gladius Lux possesses the Torment of the Sun ! To call forth this power, you need to place it on the ground by aiming a block, and right clicking it.

The sword gains a Smite II bonus if you wear the Paladin armor,
and Smite IV if you wear the shield as well.
