1. Color Control Shape

1. Color Display

Shows the current color visually.

2. Color Code

Displayed in HEX by default. You can change this format in WinPaletter settings.

3. Default Color Indicator

Right-click and choose "Default Color" to restore it.

3. Drag and Drop

You can drag one color and drop it onto another to quickly copy or modify colors.

Each item has a default color. Drag the small default color circle to apply it elsewhere.

4. Left Click — Color Picker

• Left-clicking a color opens the WinPaletter color picker:

• Choose from 7 different picker types:

1. RGB/HEX Picker

2. Color Grid

• Import palettes from various formats (ACO, ACT, TXT, GPL, BBM, LBM, PAL):

3. Color Circle

4. Previous Colors

5. Extract From Image

• Choose from wallpaper or custom image
• Set color count, quality, ignore white, use acceleration
• Click "Result" → "Extract" → pick a color

6. Extract From Windows Theme or Presets

• Load from .theme or .msstyles

• Or use built-in presets:

• Click to apply extracted color:

7. Extract From WinPaletter Themes

• Choose from current or built-in themes (XP to 11)

• Click to select color:

8. Screen Pixel Picker

1. Hold the picker button
2. Move your mouse to desired pixel
3. Release to select color

Tip: Use Classic Picker

Enable classic Windows color picker via: Settings > Color Item Info > Use Classic Picker

5. Right Click — Context Menu

• Right-click a color control to open the context menu:

1. Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo

2. Current Color

Displays the current color with a slider to adjust brightness.

3. Default Color

Shows the default color for the item with brightness control.

4. Previous Color

The last used color with a brightness slider.

5. Inverted Color

Automatically generated opposite color with a brightness slider.

6. Color Selection

Click a color to apply it.

7. Color History

Track color changes for the item.

You can customize how the color control looks and behaves in settings:
