How to Create Domain Specific Content on AAP - AamAadmiParty/india-standalone-drupal GitHub Wiki

At first, you need to understand that if you are logged in to 'rajasthan.aamaadmiparty.org' that does not mean that you will be automatically logged in to 'aamaadmiparty.org' or any other sub-domain.

Now, you can create content for any sub-domain from any sub-domain. For eg. If you are logged in to 'karnataka.aamaadmiparty.com', you can create content for India site i.e. 'aamaadmiparty.com'.

While creating a content, just below the 'Title' field, you will see a fieldset labeled DOMAIN ACCESS OPTIONS. Inside this you see: -

  1. A checkbox labeled Send to all affiliates.

    • Check this checkbox if the content you are creating is for every sub-domain. Else make sure to uncheck this checkbox.
  2. A multi select list labeled Publish to.

    • Select the sub-domain(s) for which you are creating the content. If you have checked the above checkbox then no matter what you select in this select list, it will be ignored. Still to be sure do select all the sub-domains.
    • If you want to create content for Karnataka, then select only Aam Aadmi Party, Karnataka.
    • If you want to create content for India site and for Maharashtra, select Aam Aadmi Party and Aam Aadmi Party, Maharashtra.
  3. A select list labeled Source domain.

    • Select the domain you want to be the owner of this content. For eg. if you are creating content for all the site, you will prefer the India domain as the owner of the content.
    • If you are creating content for Karnataka, make Aam Aadmi Party, Karnataka the owner of the content.
