Connecting to your Wii U - ASHTeam/ash-aio-2 GitHub Wiki

This guide covers how to run Geckiine/TCPGecko/CosmoCourtney's codehandler on your Wii U and connect to it with AshAIO.

Requirements:

  • Wii U
  • AshAIO
  • Internet connection on your PC and Wii U (they MUST be on the same network)

Additional requirements for connecting with Geckiine

Additional requirements for connecting with CosmoCourtney's codehandler

  • A SD card formatted in FAT32
  • The codehandler.bin file on your SD card, in the wiiu/apps/tcpgecko/ folder - download it here
  • Optionally: Homebrew Launcher - download it here

Steps for connecting with TCPGecko

  • On your Wii U, go to loadiine.ovh.
  • Once you are there, you will see a dropdown box containing a list of payloads you can launch. Choose "TCPGecko + Kernel" from the dropdown. Not TCPGecko Installer.
  • Click the Submit button.
  • You will see it say something like "Running Kernel Exploit" and then crash your Internet Browser. This is normal, just restart the browser.
  • Once it has crashed and you've restarted the browser, go back to loadiine.ovh if you haven't done so already.
  • It will load TCPGecko now and crash your Internet Browser again. Once again, this is normal.
  • Once the browser has crashed for the 2nd time, you can close the HOME menu.
  • Now you can launch Splatoon
  • Enter your Wii U's IP into AshAIO and click Connect to connect to your Wii U!

Steps for connecting with Geckiine

This is not supported yet but is planned to be added in v2.0.0.2 of the AIO or later. Please refer to the top of this guide for a list of additional requirements for connecting with Geckiine and how to get Geckiine. This guide will assume you have completed the Geckiine setup steps and have all of the necessary requirements.

  • Load up the CafiineServer you downloaded.
  • Insert your SD card into your Wii U, make sure you have the Homebrew Launcher and Geckiine in your wiiu/apps folder and that your SD card is formatted in FAT32.
  • Load up loadiine.ovh on your Wii U.
  • From the dropdown, choose Homebrew Launcher Illuminati.
  • Let it run the Kernal Exploit and do Illuminati things and eventually crash your Internet Browser.
  • Once your browser crashes, re-open it and go back to loadiine.ovh
  • Let it run the Homebrew Launcher
  • Once you are in the Homebrew Launcher, you will find Geckiine or a list of apps. If you find a list of apps, scroll through them until you find Geckiine.
  • Once you've found the Geckiine app in the Homebrew Launcher, click on it/tap it and tap Start or whatever the button says
  • It will load Geckiine and might ask for your computer's IP. Enter in the IP displayed by the CafiineServer you have running on your computer using the D pad on your Wii U.
  • Once you've loaded Geckiine, load Splatoon on your Wii U and AshAIO on your computer
  • Enter in your Wii U's IP address into AshAIO and hit connect!

Steps for connecting with CosmoCourtney's codehandler

This has some prerequisites, please check the top of this page for more information.

  • Make sure you have the Homebrew Launcher, codehandler.bin and TCPGecko on your SD card and that your SD card is formatted in FAT32 and inserted into your Wii U.

  • On your Wii U, go to loadiine.ovh.

  • Once you are there, you will see a dropdown box containing a list of payloads you can launch. You can either choose Homebrew Launcher Illuminati or TCPGecko + Kernel. Doesn't matter.

  • Click the Submit button.

  • You will see it say something like "Running Kernel Exploit" and then crash your Internet Browser. This is normal, just restart the browser.

  • Once it has crashed and you've restarted the browser, go back to loadiine.ovh if you haven't done so already.

  • It will now load either TCPGecko and crash the browser or load Homebrew Launcher.

    If it loads Homebrew Launcher, look for TCPGecko in the list of apps and load it. If asked to, press the A button to install TCPGecko.

    If it loads TCPGecko, proceed with the steps as shown below.

  • Now you can launch Splatoon

  • Enter your Wii U's IP into AshAIO and click Connect to connect to your Wii U!
