Step by Step

This program requires FortressCraft Evolved to be install on your computer.

  1. Create a new world in FortressCraft Evolved and make a note of the name.

  2. Download the latest version of Minecraft to FortressCraft and unzip it.

  3. Run "MC to FCE.exe" and configure options as shown below.

  4. Click on Start Convert. Conversion will take some time depending on the size of the world and your computer configuration.

Options

FortressCraft World Path

Set this to the path to the world.dat file of the FortressCraft Evolved world that will contain the converted world. Defaults to the Fortress world save folder. It should look something like:

C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\ProjectorGames\FortressCraft\Worlds\WorldName\world.dat

Minecraft World Path

Set this to the path to the level.dat file of the Minecraft world you want to convert from. Defaults to the Minecraft singleplayer save folder. It should look something like:

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves\WorldName\level.dat

Cube Mapping Path

Typically does not need to be changed. Location of the file mapping Minecraft blocks to FortressCraft blocks. Defaults to the file included in the download. For more information on mapping Minecraft blocks to FortressCraft, see [Editing the Name Map](Editing the Name Map).

FCE Terain Data Path

Typically does not need to be changed. Location of the file containing the terrain data that FortresCraft uses for blocks. Defaults to the 32 bit TerrainData.xml found in the FortressCraft installation directory.

Use Minecraft Spawn as Origin

Check to use the Minecraft world's spawn point (x, z) as your FortressCraft world's origin (0, 0). Uncheck to use the same origin in your FortressCraft world as in the Minecraft world.
