Date: 2026-10-04
Description: First entry in this project, current status:
- Received PCB Boards
- Design was received as mirrored
- Components had to be soldered on the copper side
- Components soldered
- Ground will need to be revisited as the:
- HX711's are missing ground
- Main Ground from Neptune is not passing thru
- Had to solder a continuous wire from Pin 2 on J6, Tapped into ground on Red LED and continued to Ground on all 4 HX711's.
- Ground will need to be revisited as the:
- RP2040 Zero Updating
- Used script to test individual sensors with a forced connection on Pins 1+4 & 2+3
- This worked for each successfully
- Updated with main script for monitoring
- Connected Front Left Strain Gauge to Sensor 1 HX711
- Did not sense anything
- Determined A+ & A- wires needed to be flipped
- This worked perfectly
- Connected Front Left Strain Gauge to Sensor 1 HX711
- Used script to test individual sensors with a forced connection on Pins 1+4 & 2+3
- Next Steps
- Properly wire up and route all wires from Strain Gauges to back of printe bed frame and route internally same as bed cable
- Design 3D bracket for PCB Board to mount internally near MCU
- Further testing
