InspeXtor offers the capability to set custom user controls, allowing users to specify targets within selected clusters for specific users. This feature ensures protection and control of clusters by designated users.
How to Define New Control Setting
To create a new setting, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Custom Control Setup page.
- Click on the "+Create New Setting" button.
- Select the target cluster(s) you want to control and designate who can control them.
- Choose what can be controlled. Enabling toggles makes controls visible to users; disabling toggles hides controls.
- Configure multiple setups with scene buttons, offering three customizable scene modes.
- Optionally, apply default policy settings for light and shade.
- Once setup is complete, click "Save Setting" to save the settings.
- Saved control settings will be listed in tabular form for further modification or deletion.
How to Customize Scenes
- Scene Customization: Each custom control setting includes three customizable scenes. Follow the steps outlined below to customize scenes. Within a single custom control setting, three different customizable scenes are available. Follow these steps to customize scenes:
- Click on the desired scene to customize.
- A modal window will appear for scene customization.
- Enter a scene name.
- Toggle settings to apply to all nodes or to specific nodes.
- Adjust desired values, configuring all nodes if individual nodes are selected.
- Click "Save" to save configurations.
How to Set Default Current Policy Setting with Scene Button
- Default Policy Settings: Users can set default current policy settings using scene buttons. This feature allows for the application of time-based policies. The set default scene feature allows users to set current time policy settings:
- Toggle on Light, Shade, or both to apply default settings.
- If toggling Light, it will change Dim and Color Temperature if policy terms are available; otherwise, an error message will prompt to create a policy.
- If toggling Shade, it will change the shade if shade policy is available; otherwise, an error message will prompt to create a policy.
Deleting a Custom Control Setting
To delete a custom control setting in InspeXtor, follow these simple steps:
- Locate the Setting: Navigate to the list of custom control settings where you wish to delete a setting.
- Click the Delete Icon: Identify the setting you want to remove, and click on the delete (trash) icon associated with it.
- Confirm Deletion: Upon clicking the delete icon, a confirmation pop-up will appear.
- Click OK: To proceed with the deletion, click the "OK" button in the confirmation pop-up.
By following these steps, you can safely delete unwanted custom control settings from your InspeXtor configuration.
How to Use Desired Custom Control by User
After logging in, users can navigate to the Custom Control page from the side menu button. Follow these steps:
- Select a target cluster from the dropdown, which shows allowed clusters.
- Users can change values from allowed controls.
- Users can also apply different scenes, including "Set to Default" if available.
