The group continued its discussion on group actor support for cmi5 and reviewed sections of the cmi5 specification that would be impacted.
cmi5 Section 10 - xAPI State Data Model
- State API need to add language for a “Group agent” (Group ID only)
- “State API PUT Properties:” should be “State API parameters:”
- PUT vs POST ?
11.0 xAPI Agent Profile Data Model
- It will be hard to put precise language here until the xAPI spec language for Actor “Group ID Agent” is better defined
- Group Agent without member list
- Need a name for Actor that is a group without a member list (just am IFI search term)
- Does a group’s preferences get set (Like an individual Agent) ?
- Do we manage preferences individually for each member of group in cmi5 ?
- The AU is responsible for managing the Preferences (Agent Profile Data) and mapping them to individual members in a group?
Outside the scope
The AU can decide whether to use the group agent’s preferences or the retrieve individual preferences from the member list. If the AU does so, the AU may choose in what order the preferences are resolved for each member. (outside the scope of cmi5)
