cmi5 Specification Changes
Severin Neumman’s pull requests #299 and #300 – were reviewed by the group and merged.
Brian Miller created a pull request (Various Document Fixes #301) for numerous issues which was reviewed by the group. This pull request will be updated to resolve conflicts and to make the following changes:

Remove “ContentSpecific” property in section 10.0 State API

Update the wording for the description of “authenticationMethod” in section 13.1.4 AU Metadata as follows:
Description: Specifies which authentication method the AU MUST use.
The updated pull request will be merged prior to the next meeting. After this change is completed pull requests will be generated for the following changes :
9.1 Statement ID
9.1 Statement id The AU MUST assign a statement id property in UUID format (as defined in the xAPI specification) for all statements it issues.
9.3.2 Initialized
Remove “Verify that this verb is recorded by the AU immediately after launch” from LMS Obligations.
9.3.8 Terminated
Change LMS obligations to read as follows:
The LMS MUST use the "Terminated" statement to determine that the AU session has ended. Upon receiving an "Terminated" statement, the LMS MUST wait a specified period of time (defined by the LMS implementation) after which it MUST reject statements (of any kind) for the AU session. In the absence of an "Terminated" statement the LMS will make the determination if an AU abnormally terminated a session by monitoring new statement or state API calls made for the same leaner/course registration for a different AU. The LMS MUST record a "Abandoned" statement on behalf of the AU indicating an abnormal session termination per section 9.3.8 Abandoned.
cmi5 Release Time Frame
Dennis Hall raised the question about the planned release date for cmi5 (quartz) as he would like to create a French translation. The original plan for release was September 2015 but cmi5 development efforts from vendors involved in the group have started later than expected. Bill McDonald raised a concern that, while there has been a lot feedback from the LRS perspective, more (AU) content/content creation tool vendors should provide cmi5 spec feedback. David Pesce indicated that, as a result of his work on the Adapt Framework, he would be able to provide (content tool) developer feedback in the coming weeks. Brian Miller and Ben Clark also indicated they have been providing AU and LRS specific feedback already (as their tools do both) so we should be have some confidence in moving forward.
At the next meeting the group will discuss at target release date based on the status of participating developers’ pending/planned implementation of cmi5.
