PENS Specification Update

The group agreed to update the PENS specification to include cmi5 packages. This work will begin after “Sandstone” is released.

cmi5 Marketing

Aaron Silvers spoke to the group to explain the importance of having reference implementations for promoting cmi5 at conferences.
The primary audience at eLearning conferences are consumers and they need to “see it” (cmi5) so that they can ask their vendors for it. (And drive adoption).

So it very important for use to encourage the development of cmi5 prototypes/references with product vendors. Members of the team are encouraged to speak with their vendor contacts directly. (i.e. “button hole” them for their help!)

Art Werkenthin will be presenting on cmi5 at the following venues:

  • mLearn Con - Austin, TX - June 2015
  • ATD LearnTech – Los Angeles, CA – June 19th, 2015
