CMI-5 Runtime – Verb Categorization

The group continued to discuss Verb IRI domain spacing and generally agreed that:

1. CMI5 verbs in common current ADL defined verbs should be referenced (Using existing verbs defined at http;;//www.adlnet.gov/expapi/verbs/)
2. CMI5 verbs that are unique to the CMI-5 spec should have their own ADL space ( e.g. http;;//www.adlnet.gov/cmi5/verbs/)
3. “contextActivities” in all CMI5 statements will have an id to identify the statement as a CMI5 statement for LRS searches.

CMI-5 Runtime Spec changes – Section 9.6 Context

Change example to include context activities for moveon related results and cmi5 statement identification.

Change the following section to reflect cmi5 statement identification

9.6.2 contextActivities

Statements with a results object (section 9.5) that include either "success” or "completion” properties must contain a contextActivities object with the "id" property of "moveon". Other statements must not include this property. This purpose of this property is to facilitate searches of the LRS by the LMS or other reporting systems.

All CMI5 Statements must include an object with the "id" property of "cmi5" in contextActivities. This purpose of this property is to identify CMI5 specific statements during LRS searches.
