Notes

The group discussed the cmi5 Use case of an integrated app. As long as the LRS endpoint is the same as the LMS, the LMS is responsible for the AU as follows:

  • moveOn Value = "Passed" : If the LMS receives a statement with the verb "Passed", then the LMS will consider the AU satisfied.
  • moveOn Value = "Completed" : If the LMS receives a statement with the verb "Completed", then the LMS will consider the AU satisfied.
  • moveOn Value = "CompletedAndPassed" : If the LMS receives statements with the verbs "Completed" and "Passed", then the LMS will consider the AU satisfied.
  • moveOn Value = "CompletedOrPassed" : If the LMS receives a statement with either of the verbs "Completed" or "Passed", then the LMS will consider the AU satisfied.
  • moveOn Value = "NotApplicable": The LMS will consider the AU satisfied. This means the LMS is responsible for the contents of the LRS in relation to AU satisfaction, thus an “outside” source, as long as within cmi5 Statements, can influence a cmi5 course. Example, cmi5 registration is handed off to an app, then the app sends cmi5 completion statements after a learner has completed a task. The cmi5 course would then react to it once the learner is within the course again.
