w3ids
The group discussed issues around w3ids.
Don’t like the idea of returning the whole vocabulary – xAPI spec says what the best practice is Good with “course” and “block” with specific cmi5 w3ids
cmi5 applies specific guidance to these constructs
Recommend NOT to use “AU” as activity type, gave specific guidance in issue
Recommend to use the ADL activity type “objective”, not coin a new w3id for it because the notion of a “cmi5 only objective” doesn’t make sense.
Had a discussion around “names” within IRIs “extension” best practice rather than categorizing like cmi5 did with result/extensions, context/extensions.
The metadata NEEDs to say where they are used in a profile, don’t rely on the IRI.
