Set up the bot - A7F/mtg-telegram-assistant GitHub Wiki

Very easy stuff here. You're going to edit a file so bring your favourite text editor with you and... the token you got from botfather. Let's start.

  1. remember where you cloned this repo on step 3 of install dependencies? Navigate straight there so you should have the folder named mtg-telegram-assistant right in front of you.
  2. open the folder mtg-telegram-assistant
  3. open the config folder so your path should now be <your-path>/mtg-telegram-assistant/config
  4. open the file config.json with a text editor
  5. put the token in between the commas

the file should now look like this:

  1. save and exit. Done! If you want to know how to tweak this file to customize your bot even more, take a look here.

NOTE: database username and password fields are not implemented yet, as well as the locale. Sorry!
