Problem Definition

Design an automatic stamping machine for the small-scale (bottle manufacturing)industry that is user-friendly and safe to use. The machine should be compact and durable. The machine must not exceed 1.5 cubic feet and should be able to stamp one bottle at a time. And budget to build it should not exceed Rs4500. The machine should at least stamp 20 bottles on each refill. The machine should sense the position of the bottle and then stamp it. The machine should alert the user after each stamp. And it should also count each stamped bottle.

Concept 1 Justification:

1.This concept is more preferred and durable, and it is not containing any mechanical arm or too many no. of the motor so it can work for a long time 2.It is more compact than any other since it is circular disk mechanism is used, so it more compact than other 3.Since the stamping is on the cap, the stamping is more clearly visible 4.it is user friendly no specialized mechanism is used

Concept 2 Justification:

1.Since concept 2 uses a mechanical arm, it is less durable compared to concept 4 2.Since a mechanical arm is used it is less compact than others 3.Since mechanical arm is used therefor stamping is more clear compared to concept 4 4.It is less user-friendly since a mechanical arm is used.

Concept 3 Justification:

1.Eight bar mechanism is used, a single motor is used in it, and it is more durable than concept 4 2.Since eight-bar mechanism is used so it is more compact than concept 4 3.Since stamping from the side on the near bottleneck so stamp visibility is more clear than concept 4 4.Since there is no separate mechanism for bottle holding and bottle movement. Since stamping is done by an eight-bar mechanism.
