Deploying a React Native App

For Apple devices :iOS

  1. To deploy on the iOS App Store, you need a development account. This costs $100 a year.
  2. Apps have to have an icon (can't be transparent) and a splash screen
  3. Apps need a unique ID (instead of a "wildcard" ID).
  4. Apps will also need certificates and production profiles for development. Create a development account with apple (this can take some time for verification so do it earlyโ€Šโ€”โ€Š$99/year)

For Android devices: Google Play

  1. You also need a developer account for Android. But it's only $25.
  2. Apps have to have an icon (can't be transparent) and a splash screen
  3. You must create a production "APK" to upload to the Google Play Console and "sign" it.
