Summary of Classes and Inheritance in ES6
JavaScript is very versatile, and—though it's controversial to some—it has some features/capabilities similar to some "object oriented" programming languages. Object oriented (OO) programming is a huge topic in itself that this page doesn't aim to address. The language has had some capabilities to mock OO behavior in previous versions (ES5), but ES6 builds some of these features into the language itself.
Here's a quick summary of the new OO keywords introduced in ES6 and references to them in the MDN documentation:
Note that ES6 does not include any built-in methods or keywords for private or static methods/properties.
