General Explanation

In this lab we created virtual machines by following the directions on the “Configuring virtual machines for use this semester.” The beginning of the assignment was far simpler for me to understand and started off quite simple as well. For windows all we had to do was go into the files on our desktop and access some folders. Then we had to choose a name for the file and a place to put the file. By the time hat I got here class was basically over so I had to wait until next class so I was a bit stressed; thankfully it was due at the end of the night and not the end of class. It was a bit trippy or disorienting I should say when I first opened the windows virtual machine because it was interesting seeing a desktop inside of a desktop. Then the instructions became a bit more unclear for going into “Systems Informations” inside the machine and on the normal desktop.

Two terms

Systems Information- Is a desktop app where you can find hardware resources, components, and the software environment

Download- There was a lot of downloading and installation involved with Linux and Windows

Commands

One command required was the use of the snipping tool to screenshot information

The second command was creating a file on the windows virtual machine.
