Yesterday

Joel

I Attended training and went to a presentation of a batch’s final project and then I practiced Java and reviewed training notes. Practiced Java on hackerrank.

Merry

Went to training, attended a presentation by another batch. Cloned my project0, downloaded PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, downloaded PostgreSQL, I watched tutorials on using pgAdmin and how to set up a simple java program that connected to a mock database. I was able to verify my connection and insert values from a simple java project. I also added cards to backlog in Kanban board.

Matthew

Yesterday I attended a presentation of a social media application, followed by a lecture on strings and other java elements. I also watched several tutorials on working with javelin in my spare time.

Edwin

Will lecture about different instructions used in java to create applications. These were the different topics that we touched on yesterday: Method Overloading/Overriding Control Flow Scanners Strings, StringBuilder and StringBuffer Arrays Throwables

Also, we talk about how java Manages memory usage in applications and the garbage collector, which is in charge of removing objects that are no longer in use by any application.

Berhe

Yesterday I practiced some java codes, especially using String objects.

Roger

Yesterday we learned about Strings and different types of commands with it. I continued my project 0 and finished the math portion of it.

Today

Joel

I plan on attending lectures and learning and reviewing about Java and exception handling. Also I plan on learning more about Javalin and practicing problem solving with Java on hackerrank. Make a kanban board.

Merry

I plan on attending training, creating a draft of diagrams (database?, case diagrams?, flow charts?) for project0, look into javalin / gradle and see how that connects with the project. If there is time, start coding project0 or review topics not covered in training.

Matthew

Today I hope to learn more about exceptions and how to handle them. I also hope to learn a bit more about javelin and perhaps start a tutorial on dbeaver.

Edwin

Today, we continue to understand the different features in java that will help us create various apps to complete a task more efficiently.

Berhe

Today, I’m going to learn more about Exception Handlings and take some notes on today’s lecture.

Roger

Today I will sit in on more lectures, hopefully I can finish the base java code for my project today.
