The main idea behind Sweet is bringing the Arduino way of doing things to prototyping devices that take advantage of the wireless Bluetooth communication protocol as a way to link embedded devices to Android phones. In other words, we want to be able of using Android phones as in/output to embedded artifacts whether at home (domotics), as part of clothing (wearcomp), or monitoring sensors (localized data).
We have been using it at a workshop ran by the Medea research studio and SICS that took place in Malmo, Sweden, on March 30th and 31st, 2011. We introduced a series of examples that went from how to draw a line in Processing to how to connect a motor to a phone and controlling the earlier from a touch interface. We have made a series of screen casts that show the process step by step:
